Scott Swanson - HEAD COACH, Indoor
Scott Swanson will be entering his third season as head coach of South Carolina Volleyball in 2013. Named head coach in February, 2011, he is the 11th head coach in program history. Swanson wasted no time in rebuilding Gamecock Volleyball; after doubling the 2010 win total in 2011, Swanson led the 2012 squad to a 13-0 start, the best in program history. In addition, the Garnet & Black captured three preseason tournament championships and defeated in-state rivals Clemson, Winthrop and Coastal Carolina in 2012.

Moritz Moritz - HEAD COACH, Sand
Moritz Moritz will serve as the first head coach of the Gamecocks' sand volleyball program, after spending the past two years as an assistant coach on the Gamecocks' indoor volleyball team. Moritz comes to Gamecock Nation after serving as an assistant at the University of Idaho where he helped rebuild the Vandals’ storied program. In his five seasons at Idaho, the Vandals never fell below .500 in the powerful Western Athletic Conference.

Julie Darty - ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH / RECRUITING COORDINATOR, Indoor
Entering her second season on the sidelines for the Garnet & Black is associate head coach and recruiting coordinator, Julie Darty. After her first year with the Gamecocks, Darty earned a spot on the American Volleyball Coaches Association "Thirty Under 30" list for 2013. Darty comes to Columbia after a very successful two-year stop at Villanova where she helped the Wildcats finish in the top-four back-to-back years in the BIG EAST Conference.

RJ Abella- ASSISTANT COACH, Indoor and Sand
Entering his first season with the Gamecocks, Abella will serve as assistant coach for both indoor and sand programs. Abella comes to Columbia after a very successful six year career at Wichita State, helping their volleyball program to its best NCAA finish in history with a regional semifinal appearance in 2012. In addition to coaching at the collegiate level, Abella was an assistant coach for the USA A2 National team and lead them to a 2nd place finish in the 2009 USA Open Championships while also serving as an evaluator for the USA Junior High Performance and USA Women's National Team open tryouts.
